Data Protection Information

Declaration regarding the processing of the applicant's data on the “Jobs & Career” application platform on behalf of BSH Home Appliances S.A. de C.V.

1. Responsible BSH Entity

The application platform via the internet address https://jobs.bsh-group.de is provided by

BSH Hausgeräte GmbH

Carl-Wery-Straße 34

81739 Munich

Germany.

2. Use and Dissemination of BSH Applicant Profiles, Purpose

The Application Platform ("Application Platform") of the company named below ("Company") allows candidates to apply for advertised positions and submit self-applications. Applications on the application platform are processed for the following company:

BSH Home Appliances S.A de C.V.

Av. Internacional 200

Parque Industrial Interpuerto Monterrey, Salinas Victoria, Nuevo Leon 65513

Nuevo Leon, Mexico

If necessary, your application will be forwarded to the employees of the company(ies) named in the vacancy in order to fill the position. You can find more information about the BSH Group companies here.

The personal data (see the fields in the profile of the online application form, where only fields marked with a "*" are mandatory) entered into the Application Platform by candidates are compiled, processed, and used solely by the Companies for the selection process and for staff recruitment purposes.

The information entered by candidates in relation to the question "How did you hear about BSH Electrodomésticos España?" is used beyond the selection process for statistical analysis in anonymous form.

Recruitment is carried out by the responsible employees of the Companies' Human Resources (HR) department in cooperation with the responsible employees of the respective functional department. Only the Human Resources department and the employees responsible for recruiting the available position in the relevant department(s) have access to the (personal) data provided by the candidate.

When applying for an advertised position, the (personal) data provided by the applicant is only accessible and processed by BSH employees entrusted with the selection process for the available position. If an applicant submits a self-application, the (personal) data provided by the applicant is forwarded to the respective functional department/BSH company within the BSH Group.

3. Administration of application profiles by the applicant, standard deletion periods

Administration of application profiles

Submitting applications for a position (whether advertised or not) is possible without registering on the Application Platform. In this case, the candidate is sent a link by email (confirmation email) where they can (but are not required to) create an account on the Application Platform.

By creating an account on the Application Platform via the link, the candidate can access their application profile at any time. The candidate can view the (personal) data entered and the (personal) data provided to BSH as part of the application process at any time.

The candidate can update their contact information at any time. However, the candidate cannot update or delete the documents or application profile information provided (only through BSH, see below). Furthermore, the candidate can upload additional documents at any time to the Application Platform. The candidate should be aware that changing their contact information will affect all current applications.

If the candidate is no longer interested in the advertised position, they can withdraw their application at any time through the Application Platform. In this case, they will no longer be considered as a potential candidate for the position.

If the candidate does not wish to continue with the unsolicited application, they can withdraw their application at any time through the Application Platform. In this case, the candidate will no longer be considered as a potential candidate for the position they indicated.

Companies may contact candidates to ask if they are interested in joining a group of people who have expressed a desire to work for one of the Companies and/or the BSH Group (“Candidate Pool”). By joining the Candidate Pool, BSH may contact candidates for (other) positions that match their skills and/or experience. If they are no longer interested in joining the Candidate Pool, they may withdraw their participation at any time via the Application Platform.

Deletion/Retention Periods

In the case of an application for an advertised position, or in the case of a self-application, the candidate's application data, documents, user account, and other personal data will be deleted 12 months after the date of the application.
Completion of the selection process. Completion of the selection process means the moment at which the candidate (i) is hired by BSH, (ii) has withdrawn their application, or (iii) has been rejected by BSH.

If the applicant has expressed their consent to be admitted to the Candidate Database, the candidate's application data, documents, user account, and other personal data will be deleted from the Candidate Database 12 months after admission to the Candidate Database.

If the candidate has been admitted to the Candidate Database and subsequently wishes to withdraw from it, their application data, documents, user account, and other personal data will be deleted 12 months after the completion of the application process or, if longer, immediately.

4. Protection against misuse of the application profile

BSH implements specific security measures to protect application profiles from manipulation, loss, damage, unauthorized access, and disclosure. BSH adapts its security measures in line with technological developments. Data is transferred between the applicant's web browser and the Application Platform via an encrypted HTTPS connection (transport encryption).

5. Employment

If the applicant is hired by one of the Companies, their application profile is not automatically transferred to the respective HR department's administration system, but is collected as part of the recruitment process.

6. Job Applications

The operational privacy policy prevails over this employee privacy policy. The candidate pool is not available to employees; information about alternative development tools for BSH employees is provided by the relevant manager.

7. JobAgent

On our website, it is possible to subscribe to the JobAgent newsletter. To check whether the owner of an email address has registered to receive this newsletter, we use the "double opt-in" procedure. Subscription to the newsletter is only considered valid if the email address holder has expressly confirmed activation of the newsletter by clicking the link in the confirmation email. As proof, we record the completion of the individual steps of the double opt-in procedure.

As part of distributing our newsletter, we use statistical methods. We use this data exclusively for statistical analysis of our newsletter distribution.

If you register for our JobAgent newsletter and consent to its distribution, your data will be used exclusively for sending the newsletter. You can revoke this consent at any time. You will find a corresponding link in each newsletter. If you unsubscribe from the newsletter, we will delete your personal data from our database. Even if you do not unsubscribe, your newsletter subscription will automatically end 12 months after registration. You can resubscribe at any time.

The data is used solely for technical purposes and is not accessible outside of the technical administrators.

8. Use of cookies on BSH eRECRUITING

What are cookies and why do we use them?

Cookies are small text documents or code fragments that contain a unique identification code. Cookies store information such as your preferred language or other personal page settings. If you visit the Application Platform again later, your browser will transmit the stored cookie information to the recruitment portal. This allows us to display personalized information tailored to you. Among other things, cookies ensure that you remain logged in during your visit to a website and that the website functions smoothly.

What types of cookies do we use?

We only use cookies that are technically necessary for the website to function properly.

Which cookies are actually used?

a) Session cookie: This cookie is used to identify the user during the current interaction and is automatically deleted when you close the browser window. Specifically, the session cookie is used for the following purposes:

• Assigning an application to a browser during the application process

• Assigning it to an existing user in the system ("I am logged in as Max Mustermann")

b) Banner cookie: This cookie is set once a user clicks on the banner. This means that the banner will no longer be displayed for this user. The cookie stores the banner state for one year. Therefore, the banner will reappear after one year at the latest.

c) Requester cookie:
The applicant cookie is checked/set upon accessing the Application Platform. It is used to evaluate which website applicants were directed to the Application Platform. It can also be used to determine whether these applicants used the website to complete their application. The applicant cookie is created for one week and is only evaluated internally and is not transmitted to third parties. Like any cookie, it can be deleted at any time via your browser.

Embedded Videos and Cookies

Job advertisements may contain external YouTube content that complements the corresponding job advertisement and is displayed by BSH. As part of the technical provision of this service, it is technically necessary that the IP address of your device be transmitted to YouTube, as this is the only way the content can be played. If you agree to this transmission, you can play the video by clicking the play button. If you do not agree to this transmission, please do not load the external content; our website is technically configured so that in the latter case, the IP address is not transmitted to YouTube. When using the video, YouTube cookies are also set. Like any cookie, it can be deleted at any time via your browser. You can find additional information on data protection on YouTube here.

9. Additional information on data protection

In order to display the website in your internet browser, we use various technical devices to ensure that all content is always up-to-date. To ensure that your user experience, particularly the loading speed of the website, is constantly improved, we also use technical service providers who allow us to provide the content necessary for the presentation of the website (so-called "content delivery networks" or CDNs). These CDN technical service providers act on our behalf and are bound by our instructions through corresponding agreements. The data collected in this way is only used to display the website content in your internet browser and is deleted immediately after temporary storage within the scope of delivery.

For technical reasons, every time your internet browser accesses our website, it automatically sends information to our web server (i.e., log data). We store some of this information in log files, such as:

• Date of access

• Time of access

• Website URL

• HTTP protocol version used

• Files accessed

• Volume of data transferred

• Internet browser type and version

• Operating system type

• IP address (anonymized)

The aforementioned log data typically does not contain personal data. We only analyze log data on an event-based basis when necessary, in particular to troubleshoot errors in the operation of our website or clarify security incidents. We store this log data indefinitely.

In special cases, it may be necessary for us to collect the full IP address of the device, as well as log data, to rectify faults or preserve evidence related to security incidents. We delete this data once the fault has been rectified or the security incident has been completely clarified, or if the original purpose of the processing no longer exists due to other factors. In the event of a security incident, we will transmit log data to investigating authorities on a case-by-case basis, to the extent permitted and necessary. We store such log data separately from other data collected in connection with the use of our website.

We base the above data processing operations on legal permission pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 for:

• Personal data of applicants provided as part of the application process on the application platform website;

• Registration on the application platform website;

• Storage and processing of personal data in the "Applicant Pool"
